The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon has made its U.S. debut Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show. After being sold in Europe, the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon is now ready for the U.S. market.
The Arteon comes with a stunning exterior design that features wide stance, acres of chrome, and a sloping roofline.
Like the European Arteon which the company launched in 2017, all U.S. cars are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It has the CC’s fastback profile that gives the Arteon a unique shape outside the luxury space.
The powerplant is paired with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, while 4Motion all-wheel drive is available as an option. It will power the front wheels through a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive will be optional with trim levels: SE, SEL, and SEL Premium.
The stylish Volkswagen Arteon has a wide and a coupe-like design. It packs 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, Front Assist, DCC adaptive damping, full LED headlights, and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert.
Other features include digital cockpit, ambient lighting, massaging driver’s seat, Dynaudio premium audio, and a panoramic sunroof. The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon will offer a six-year, or 72,000-mile warranty.
“The Arteon is Volkswagen’s brand shaper,” the North American Region, Volkswagen CEO Hinrich J. Woebcken said. “This car is the spiritual successor to the CC, but it is bolder and faster. Arteon has the style and performance of a luxury Gran Turismo for about the price of a fully loaded midsize sedan.”
