Earlier this year, Samsung updated its Notebook 9 series of laptops with the addition of folding hinge for 2-in-1 tablet use and a stylus and now the company is preparing itself to do the same for 2018.
Samsung is revamping its lineup with four new devices next year. This year’s new additions will be just updates to existing offerings.
There’s the new Notebook 9 Pen which is a 13.3-inch 2-in-1 notebook. As the name specifies, the 13-inch Notebook 9 Pen is ready to take on Surface devices which include a built-in battery-free S Pen stylus, much like the Notebook 9 Pro introduced in May. It sports up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, an 8th generation Intel Core i7 CPU and weighs just 2.2 pounds as it is designed with Metal12″ magnesium-aluminum alloy. The devices come with the 1920 x 1280 resolution displays with Intel HD graphics.
Samsung has equipped each variation with an HDMI port, a single USB-C port, microSD storage, and a regular USB port. The 15-inch USB-C port will support Thunderbolt 3, and the devices also include an additional USB 2.0 port on the larger model. There’s a Windows Hello camera using which you can sign into Windows 10 with just your face.
Both the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 will be going on sale in the States in the first quarter of next year buy the company has not revealed the pricing details.
