Apple announced back in June that it could launch its first ever iMac Pro this December and now the company has revealed some new details.
Apple on Tuesday said that the iMac Pro will be available to order on this Thursday, December 14th. Pricing of the machine will start at $4,999 in the United States.
The iMac Pro will be available with some pretty nutty internal specs. The dark gray desktop includes high-performance Intel Xeon processors, powerful AMD graphics card options, and a typical “space grey” finish. The device is a powerful, excellent workstation that provides workflows such real-time 3D rendering, advanced video and graphics editing, and virtual reality content creation.
The iMac Pro includes 128GB of memory, 4TB of storage, and 18-core Intel Xeon processor. Along with a 5K display, it will have a Radeon Vega GPU. It comes with 27-inch “Retina” display with a 5120-by-2880 pixel resolution using which audio and visual professionals can perform their tasks like editing 4K video and 3D graphics. The iMac Pro also contains black Lightning cable for charging the black keyboard.
Apple’s VP of Hardware Engineering John Ternus said, “iMac Pro is a huge step forward and there’s never been anything like it.”
The iMac Pro four USB-A 3.0 ports, an SD card slot, 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes with a 1080p front camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and stereo speakers.
The company also stated, “The iMac Pro is the fastest and most powerful Mac ever, at least until the modular Mac Pro is released.”
