Razer has introduced a new updated version of its popular BlackWidow Ultimate gaming keyboard. The new BlackWidow Ultimate comes with IP54 water and dust resistant, the company says.
Speaking about the IP54 ratings, the “5” denotes limited protection against dust ingress, and the “4” represents protection from splashes of water.
You’re getting Razer’s mechanical keyboard with green lighting and effects like starlight, wave, ripple, and more that gamers can customize. The mechanical switches have 10-key anti-ghosting and full programming support. The keyboard has an 80 million keystroke lifespan and contains Razer Green Switches with an actuation force of 50 grams for solid clicking.
The new mechanical keyboard has equipped with 7.98-inch x 6.02-inch x 2.36-inch dimensions and it weighs a little less than a pound if you count the cable.
You can purchase the new Razer BlackWidow online and right now it is available for $110 (€120). It will be available in stores worldwide before the end of the year.
Razer co-founder, and CEO, Min-Liang Tan, says, “We’ve never stopped making improvements to our gaming keyboards.” “The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate is now more durable than ever and our first mechanical keyboard to incorporate water- and dust-resistant features,” Min-Liang Tan added.
It’s worth noting that Corsair and others also have had snack-proof gaming keyboards. The Corsair K68 has an IP32 rating and backlit red LED. It costs $99.99. It’s cheaper than Razer’s keyboard as it’s not dust resistant and doesn’t have the same level of water resistance like Razer’s.
