PlayStation’s Paris Games Week show Releases New Games

Sony launch different approach for its Paris Games Week show with some new announcement for both PS4 and PlayStation VR games.

The biggest blockbuster title of the entire event was Ghost of Tsushima, a samurai game developed by Sucker Punch, the maker of Infamous.  Described as an “open-world adventure,” the new game will feature both action and secrecy elements. The users will be responsible to defend the entire island from the invading force.

One of the biggest surprises of the show was Spelunky 2, the cave-dwelling adventures of Spelunky will continue. While details are slim for now, the company has not revealed the release date.

The hit action-platforming game Guacamelee is getting a sequel in 2018 that will offer ability to play as chicken for both puzzle-solving and combat scenarios. It will introduce much-improved chicken action with some new powers.

The Gardens Between, a narrative-driven puzzle game described as a “surreal story of friendship.” it provides you the ability to control flow of time in the game as you discover the hidden secrets in each garden island.  The game was announced for PlayStation 4 launching on next year.

The PlayStation VR headset is getting Megalith, described as a “hero shooter.” It allows players to control massive titans and become a god.

The Hong-Kong Massacre is a top-down action shooter that is coming to the PS4 in 2018.

Erica, the narrative-heavy thriller about a child exploring a world full of magic and it allows the player to make various decisions. The game is coming out next year for PlayStation 4.

Finally, Sony’s London Studio is creating a title called Blood & Truth coming for PlayStation VR.
