Facebook is rolling out a new feature that connects peoples on their Messenger chat platform. It will showcase connection with your current friends as well as friend’s buddies.
Previously, users were making new friends through mutual friends and now, Facebook is providing “[Name redacted]” notification. Once you tap on the button recommending you to “get to know [name’s] friends, it will show new friends connections. This option will provide you deep information like, places you’ve both worked, common events that you both attended and pages you both like. The feature is very similar to Tinder, but Tinder only connects people who are already friends with each other.
Apart from this, Facebook will also show you two options, “No Thanks,” and “Yes” to know whether you are interested to meet up with a particular person or not.
Facebook launched a feature called “Discover People,” a feature implemented to help you find new connections through groups and events. Facebook is also trying to make a close connection with those people who are already included in our app.
A spokesperson from Facebook said, “People often use Facebook to make plans with their friends.” “So, we’re running a very small test in the Facebook app to make that easier. We look forward to hearing people’s feedback.”
However, the test is going on for a small number of users from New Zealand and Toronto, on Android and iOS. Surely, after some time it will be available for all users.
