Qatar’s Blockade to be removed – A prerequisite for ending Gulf diplomatic crisis

Qatars Blockade to be removed – A prerequisite for ending Gulf diplomatic crisisSheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thaniaddressed his neighbouring states on Monday asking them to life the blockade that Qatar has had to face. This has been a prerequisite for any talks and participation of Qatar in solving the Gulf Crisis Problem.

Qatar’s foreign minister has even refused to settle the disputes or even talk about the crisis and the matters circling it until and unless the isolation of Qatar or the blockade is lifted or put to an end. The blockade of Qatar was imposed by the neighbouring states like the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, etc. in an attempt to isolate Qatar.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani spoke to the media saying that the blockade was definitely an act of aggression towards them and the only way to get them to discuss the Gulf Crisis Problem is by lifting the blockade and ending the isolation.

The foreign minister of Qatar seems really disturbed and has clearly stated his condition for negotiating with his neighbours. According to him, negotiations and discussions cannot be effective and efficient while one of the participating members is being isolated or is under a blockage. This is what Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani had to say to the reports in Doha.

On the 5th of June, all the allied states of Qatar like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and other neighbouring states, decided to boycott Qatar and cut all ties. They ordered the citizens to repatriate by 19th June. They even brought back their ambassadors.
