Modern Family Cast Signs New Deals for Seasons 9 and 10The 10 stars of the Emmy-winning family series have signed new rich contracts and will be soon returning to the top comedy networks. It has been renewed for a ninth and 10th season, informed The Hollywood Reporter. Right now, it is not very clear if season 10 will be the last or not and the 44 episodes such that each season has 22 episodes is in the renewal.

Steve Levitan, the co-creator/co-show runner said on Wednesday “We are really thrilled that we will be spending more time with our favorite characters, these are amazing actors, talented writers and our amazing crew all are a family to us, the good kind of family, not the one that argues all the time”.

Sources say each star has demanded a raise to continue with the comedy from show runners Levitan and Christopher Lloyd and producers 20th Century Fox Television. The raises secured stars are the six primary stars — Sofia Vergara (Gloria), Julie Bowen (Claire), Ty Burrell (Phil), Eric Stonestreet (Cameron), Jessie Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell) and Ed O’Neill (Jay) — and also the younger cast members Rico Rodriguez (Manny), Nolan Gould (Luke), Sarah Hyland (Haley) and Ariel Winter (Alex).

Modern Family denotes a comedy brand and has been the focal point for eight seasons that everyone is thrilled to have it for two more years, informed Channing Dungey, the ABC Entertainment President. In fact, Steve and Chris have created such winning characters, that the cast is second-to-none.” Steve and Chris are intelligent producers and are incredibly proud to looking forward to more entertaining episodes.”
