The Galaxy S8’s has issues regarding the display as the first point. In fact, some units had a red tint and Samsung asserts it is not a problem. However, the company is expected to roll out software aiming to fix it for its customers. The users have already reported two more annoying issues, about wireless charging and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Samsung is aware regarding the Wi-Fi issue, and informed The Wall Street Journal that there will be another software update to help fixing the issue. The fix will be rolled out only in South Korea, where this fault was identified in the wireless access point of a local carrier.
Samsung informed The Journal that neither the red tint issue nor the Wi-Fi problems are related to product defects.
The bug in wireless charging seems to have widespread, and Samsung is trying to address it. The affected Galaxy S8 owners tried to reach the Samsung’s support forums to complain as they were not able to wirelessly charge their devices.
Actually, it is not clear the reason to cause this problem, but Galaxy S8 phones also does not work with the charging hardware of older wireless devices, even though it is expected to work, as all support the same standards of wireless charging to offer full support for fast charging.
Is Samsung ensuring its customers nothing bad happens to the Galaxy S8 batteries by preventing them from using certain devices wireless charging, including Samsung-made ones? However, it is not sorted out and Samsung is expected to fix it at the earliest.
