According to the survey, the historically black college situated in Alabama was supposed to collect the fund near about $75000 for travelling, lodging and other expenses for the celebrating of inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, next week. But it has made a remarkable achievement by collecting amount of $280,000.
More than 4700 people have donated $280,000 in just nine days, as per the report of GoFundMePage.
This donation starts rising since President of Talladega College, Mr. Billy Hawkins comes in forefront on a show named “The O’Reilly on FOX News on this last Thursday. Otherwise the donation has just reached to the amount of $57,000.
This college, Talladega has come to existence in 1865, when a school for the community of the children of former slaves was planned to set up. This news was announced on the early date of this month January, by the Presidential Inauguration Committee.
President of Talladega College, Mr. Billy Hawkins told that it was a learning experience for his students apart from the one which they get in the classroom. He told that those students who have participated in the parade of the inauguration of a new president will experience something very different as it will not be a political event but a civil ceremony which will celebrate the transferring of power.
He further reported about the shameful act of alumni of the college, who has given lots of pressure to him. He was blamed to ashamed the college and disgraced the community of African-Americans.
