Himara

Himara, the gateway to the southern Albania,
is a small town located between high mountain and the Ionian Sea.

The whole region is characterized by high mountains falling steeply to meet a crystal clear sea. There are long white sandy beaches and the few hills close to the sea are generally terraced and planted with olive, orange and citrus trees. The Himara region as a whole is quite small, about 50 km (31 miles) long by 10 km (6 miles) wide.

Located in front of the sea and along the main promenade there are some hotels and restaurants which offer you catering facilities and accommodation.

Daily ferryboat link Himara with the nearby Greek island of Corfu.

Located on the shores of Ionian sea,
in front of Greek island of Corfu,
Himara is characterized by a Mediterranean climate and warm sea waters.

Due to its location and warm weather Himara is one of the most attractive tourist town in Albanian Riviera,
where honeymooners traditionally spend their holidays.

Himara is much better than this site describes it...and also except the village of himarra in the communite of himara there are other 7 villages one by one perfect, but the most excited of all is the village of himara!!!!!!!!!! And there are many other locations and facilities that aren't reported in this page...so this page which i think that is bad and non well-organise site for himara isn't made to do good at himara BUT to destroy it

i just saw this, i happen to be the administrator of himaraunion.com. This website is the official of our union in Athens which represents more than 10.000 Himariotes members. Our mother tongue is greek, that's why the site is in greek. Any help to translate in other languages, would be highly appreciated.
